The iPad Folio Case

Protecting against accidential damage & improving user experience

Each Care Team Tablet is setup with a Speck Balance Folio iPad case that can be used for:

  • Protecting the Tablet - The case includes a secure closure, protective lining, and four foot drop protection.
  • Viewing the Screen - The case can be used to orient the tablet in a variety of positions to make seeing and tapping the screen easier.
  • Conserving Battery - The tablet cover will automatically put your device in sleep mode when shut, and wake it when opened.

Using the Case

The following configurations will help you get the most out the case:

1. Closed and Locked

When the tablet is not being used, close the cover to protect the screen and use the latch to secure. When closed, the tablet automatically enters Sleep Mode, which turns off the screen and conserves battery life.

2. Holding the Tablet

When you are using the tablet to look at photos or videos, often times holding the tablet in your hands is the easiest way to ensure the proper viewing angle. When holding the tablet, undo the latch and fold the tablet cover directly behind the screen. You can hold the tablet vertically (portrait) or horizontally (landscape) and the screen will adjust accordingly.

3. Upright Viewing Angles

If you are watching a video or engaging in activity that requires looking at the screen for a prolonged period of time, it can be helpful to sit the tablet on a surface and position it upright. To position the tablet upright, open the cover and place it face down on the surface. On the backside of the cover, there are slots for holding the tablet upright. Lift the tablet and place the ridges on the bottom edge of the iPad case into the open slots.

4. Low Viewing Angle

If you are playing a game or engaging in another interactive activity that requires touching the screen, positioning the tablet at low viewing angle can make it easier to see and tap. To position the tablet at a low angle, open the cover and fold it towards the tablet - tucking it between the device and back cover. Make sure that latch is folded back, so the edge of the cover fits securely in the crease between the back cover and device.
