Assigning a Tablet to a Client

Managers have the ability to assign a client's profile to a specific tablet, so that it automatically syncs content from the family.  



How to Assign a Tablet to a Client  

Generation Connect ships participating organizations Care Team Tablets - which are iPads that have been configured with dementia care engagement apps and settings to help enhance security.

Care Team Tablets can be assigned to a client, and then stationed in the home for caregiver engagment activities.

To assign a tablet to a client:  

  • Sign in to Care Team Connect as a manager on a designated tablet
  • Open Settings
  • Tap Select a Client to view a dropdown list of active clients
  • Once you have selected the appropriate client, tap the Assign button

After confirming the assignment, you will be signed out automatically and the caregiver PIN login sceen will display.


Caregiver Login on an Assigned Tablet

Once a tablet has been assigned to a client, the client's ID will display at the top of the page, along with th PIN pad login. 

Each caregiver is assigned a unique PIN code. Authorized caregivers can log into the engagement profile by entering their PIN code. Once logged into the app, caregivers can view and add content based on their permissions.  


Once finished, caregivers can log out of the app via settings. Alternatively, after a set period of inactivity, caregivers are automatically logged out to the PIN pad login.


Manager Login on an Assigned Tablet

From the PIN pad login screen, tap Login with username & password to sign into the app as a manager. Enter your email address and password to login to the app.

When a care manager signs in to an assigned tablet, he or she will see the client's engagement profile. They also have the ability to add content.  

  

Managers can add content to a client's profile to demonstrate key features and help families get started building a profile.
